Welcome to my art blog! This started out as a regular blog but sort of evolved into an update on my artistic endeavors, so that's what I am making it. First a couple of links for you;

I am a full-time professional artist. I’d like to think that my style is entirely unique, but the truth is that we are all influenced by those around us and those who have come before us. In my own work I often imagine elements of others whose work I admire; Theodore Geisel (Dr. Seuss), H.R. Giger, H.P. Lovecraft, Max Ernst, and Vincent Van Gogh to name just a few, as well as broader cultural themes such as Dia de los Muertos and Celtic designs. I am inspired by life events, personal feelings about things, by music of all sorts, poetry, literature, cultural styles, I've even been inspired to paint by looking at an old piece of rotting wood before. Pretty much anything noteworthy can be a source of inspiration for me, but most of my work is representative of the human journey through life. This is why my work varies so much in mood, because in many ways it is autobiographical, and life affects me in many different ways.

I can't really classify the style of my art because it is so flexible. Perhaps "protean" would be the best description because I find that I easily transition from theme to theme and style to style. However, a large portion of my work could be classified as Expressionist, because I tend to focus more on the mood of the piece than I do on the subject.

The sky changes colors from day to day and from hour to hour. It does not feel natural for me to bury certain feelings and express only those which might be more palatable to others. It is contrary to natural creativity to expect an artist to always create a predictable genre or style of art. Regarding my work, you simply have to take what you want and leave the rest. It is doubtful that anyone anywhere will ever appreciate everything I create. I make no apologies for this, because it is a representation of the many different colors that make me who I am. If you are observant enough, I believe you will find that no matter how diverse my works may be, there is always a cohesive thread flavoring everything I create with my own unique brand of eccentricity.
My goal for this blog is to provide a resource for people to follow my work and be made aware of new events and projects I have in the works. Thanks for stopping by!
